Sessions Details

All psychological counselling sessions run for 50 minutes.

Bookings

You can make a booking for an appointment without a Mental Health Care Plan and do not need a referral from a medical practitioner to make a booking. You will, however, need a referral from a medical practitioner if you plan to make a Medicare claim.

Medicare

You may be able to claim a Medicare rebate for all individual, child, adolescent, or adult psychological counselling sessions under a Mental Health Care Plan referral from a medical practitioner. You will need to discuss this with your medical practitioner, and they will provide you with a referral to provide before your first appointment.

Private Health

You may be able to claim using private health insurance if you have cover for psychological treatment.

Cancellation Policy

With the exception of illness or an emergency, Family Minds Psychology has a 24-hour cancellation policy which is explained in the Consent Form.
